I had the opportunity to take part in a Work Shadowing Day with SurgEase, where I was introduced to cutting-edge diagnostic technologies and the fast-paced world of medical innovation.
During the day, I was able to explore new tools and techniques, gaining an insight into how advanced healthcare solutions are developed and applied. I particularly enjoyed learning about the different diagnostic systems on display, and it was exciting to see how technology can directly impact patient care.
One of the highlights for me was the chance to speak with professionals about their roles and career journeys. These conversations gave me a deeper understanding of the skills and qualities needed in this field, and have inspired me to think more about how I can contribute in the future.
Alongside the technical learning, I also had fun experiencing the workplace environment — including the unlimited hot chocolate machine, which was definitely a bonus!
This experience has helped me to develop new skills, boosted my confidence in asking questions, and strengthened my interest in science and technology. I’m grateful for the opportunity and look forward to continuing my journey towards becoming a leader of tomorrow.
