I am Ömer Faruk Üstoğlu, a second-year Biomedical Engineering student at Acıbadem University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. Between 04/07/2025 and 29/08/2025, I completed my internship at SurgEase Innovations Ltd. in Maidenhead, United Kingdom.
Throughout this period, I gained valuable exposure to the biomedical device industry. My responsibilities included quality control of LumenEye X1 devices, hardware testing and BIOS configuration for CHIP Lite systems, risk analysis, preparation of regulatory documentation, and technical file updates. I also contributed to the TrıEye narrow consumable and SESIS projects, supporting risk management planning, design input reviews, and project documentation.
This internship gave me the opportunity to apply my academic knowledge to real-world projects while developing teamwork, problem-solving, and regulatory awareness skills. The professional guidance I received at SurgEase allowed me to better understand the innovation and compliance processes behind medical technologies.
